Hi Andy,
Excellent job on the writing!
You continue to improve and impress me with your abilities. This coming from a country music fan since I was a young child.
Continue to pursue Nashville with the same passion you write with and I know I'll be listening to one of your songs on the local radio, satalite and live in a concert before long.

Andy Budd and Trent Jeffcoat?....a match made in heaven! I'm speechless for once. I've listened to these songs a hundred times and loved each one but Trent has added something that was missing that I never knew was missing: another man's interpretation; another man who feels the songs the way they were written: with emotion of the heart. I don't know Trent but I already love him like a brother....another brother??? yeah, there's room in my heart for one that sings my brother Andy's songs like that!!! Whew! ....I guess I was speechless , after all......just awestruck. Love you , Andy....and love you, too, Trent.
Danan Caldwell
September 12, 2009
Love the new music and lyrics! Trent Jeffcoat has a great voice ... why, he may be the next big country star and singing your awesome songs. Expect to see you both at the Grammy Awards! "64 Shortbed" should be Chevy's next commercial! Have to say though...my personal favorite is Ride That Ol' Freight - this ole body just can't sit still and it never fails to put a smile on my face! Andy, thanks for the music! Keep the songs comin' Love ya, Danan

Andy....love your music! Who knew you were so talented! Of course it has been 30 plus years since I have seen you. Sounds like you have done real well for yourself. I can honestly say I have had a real blessed life as well...married 27 years with 3 kids, one married and 2 in college. I have been lucky to stay home with the kids and do all the volunteer work, PTA, running around, etc. Frank was in the Marines and then went into commercial real estate for for 20 years. He was very successful. He is now retired and works full time with Habitat for Humanity. I still stay busy with volunteer work at church (love my high school kids), tennis, running , gardening, travelling, mission trips, part time "fun" job, etc.
Do you ever tour with your music? Great to see you are doing well.

It is not every day that you come across music, with catchy, harmonizing, toe tapping, tear jerking, down home lyrics that are from the heart. With a hint of George Strait,
the music on Saints and Scoundrels causes you to pause and reflect upon your past and realize that, at one time or the other, you have lived some of the same situations or experienced some of the same emotions but lacked the ability to reduce them to the beautiful heart filled words and music that Andy has accomplished with Saints and Scoundrels. Songs on this CD should get a lot of play on many country music stations and Andy should be commended for donating all of his proceeds to local chapters of the Habitat For Humanity. Thanks, Andy and well done.

Dear Andy,
Words cannot express how much I enjoyed your CD. What a wonderful accomplishment! I laughed and I cried at the words that you choose for each song. Jeanne has often told me how you and Johnny would stay up all night playing and singing and entertaining the "family."
As I listened to your very creative music, my mind and heart were flooded with wonderful memories. Maybe these memories of the past, especially those of your mom, were what prompted my tears. I know that through my wonderful, wonderful friend, and your loving sister, Jeanne, I was lucky enough to share your family through the years.
Through Jeanne I shared your mom, your dad, your brothers and sisters and all of your family's life adventures. As I did not really have a family to share, these every day experiences meant the world to me. One day when visiting your mom, she decided to adopt me. As if she needed another child, but I loved her for it.
I have listened to your cd several times and just as some the songs are silly and fun, I cry every time I hear "A Cold November Morning." I know that your dad would be especially proud of the man that you have become.
The biggest thank you from a "very special place in my heart." I wish you the best of luck. Love, Donna Burg

Andy, this is a very refreshing album. It's obvious it comes from the heart and many personal experiences. What makes it unique, I think everyone can recall similar times in their lives when they knew their lives were changing courses, losing loved ones, and feeling high as the result of hard work and accomplishment. I still especially like the Cold November Morning song. I've listed to the CD many, many times and everytime I hear or think of something I missed before. Great music and lyrics.

Andy Budd's musical style is distinctive yet familiar--perhaps because it is intensely personal while reflecting experiences shared in common with his listeners. The myriad of adventures Andy has had and continues to live have brought meaning and a depth of understanding to life that comes through clearly in his lyrics. The strong influence of family and friends, the value of commitment to God and country, the obligation to share one's gifts and the importance of living life to the full are unmistakeable. "Saints and Scoundrels" is an impressive debut with all the heart and soul of country music. Every song on the CD stays with you long after the final track is played.

Andy Budd, singer, songwriter extraodinare. Thirteen original, real good, feel good songs that soothe the soul and puts a smile on my face. They are songs easy for a lot of us to identify with.
Sharon and I are anxiously awaiting your next release.
You need to showcase your talent here in Austin,Texas, the live music mecca of the universe. A great way to launch a career is the "South By Southwest" extravaganza coming up soon.
Best regards, and blessings on you for your compassionate consideration of the Habitat for Humanity program. I help build houses for the Austin chapter of Habitat for Humanity and appreciate the generous gesture.

“Andy, Cold November Morning...I love this song. The love you had for your Dad has always been evident, but your song certainly is a tribute that I am sure, has in fact, made him very proud of you. My dad died 30 years ago this year, and I wish that I could put the feelings that I still have for him into a song as beautiful as this. I only know that like you, I miss him every day too”.

Andy: I laughed and cried listening to your CD - PLEASE make more. I
absolutely love listening to you and can't find the right words to
express the feelings I had with each song. You are a wonderful writer!
David hasn't listened to it yet but he will tomorrow. He said he
heard that you were quite good - I told David "quite" isn't the word -
The neat thing is, I don't usually listen to country music - I'm
More the "night club" type music person, but I love this CD.

January 31, 2007
Andy - David listened to your CD on the way to the club yesterday - he said it was just tremendous and he remembers times when you talked about certain event in your life and he was touched the way they came out in your songs. When he was leaving the club he jacked the sound up real loud as the other guys were going to their cars - they were all impressed. David said he also cried when he listened to November - you have to be very proud of yourself and to hell with Nashville - you keep writing and singing like that and you can tell Nashville to kiss your butt!!!!! Love ya - June

Andy,
WOW! I love your CD. Hearing bits and pieces of some of the songs over the last year or two whet my appetite for more. Your CD definitely delivers the full course! Your life is in your songs and your songs are full of life. Amazing! I am in awe of your latest acomplishment. Not only do your songs cause me to reflect on my own life (you know, the lion and the sheep thing), but staff at my office who have heard your songs can relate to them as well. Please keep us informed on how things go with the CD. I think you have some real hits. Melissa and I will continue to be your greatest fans. Your music has stimulated me to dust off what musical talent might be in me and go for a "fix" too.
